Programming Begins For Bioengineering in CRC
FKP Architects, Executive Architect for the CRC Tenant Improvement for Rice and Perkins & Will, the lab consultant, began the programming for the Bioengineering Department in the CRC. Initial interviews with the faculty occurred during the week of January 29th. The design team will compile the information and report back to the faculty at the end of February.
Vibration, a hot topic for certain members of the faculty, is being addressed by both the design team and the University. The design team is designing the overall structure to meet industry standards for new research buildings. Secondary mitigation, if required for more stringent needs, will be provided in the way of isolation tables that are being carried as part of the project budget.
