Custodial Services
The Rice University Custodial department employs nearly 100 Custodians to ensure that campus facilities are clean and aesthetically pleasing. The goal is to provide an environment in which the students, faculty, and staff are inspired to achieve their goals and to make Rice University a world-class institution for learning and research.
Administrative offices are open 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. There are two custodial shifts; 6:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and evenings 3:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. For after-hours assistance please call the Facilities Service Center at 713-348-2485 and follow the prompts. If you have a custodial emergency, please call the Central Plant Control Room at 713-348-4095.
