David Rodd is the Rice University Architect and has been with Rice since 1999. In his previous position as a Senior Project Manager, his role was Campus Master Planning support. As University Architect, David continues to oversee Campus Master Planning assuring the continued high standards of architectural design, engineering, and construction on the Rice campus. David is a graduate of Rice with a B.A. and a Bachelor of Architecture. He is a Registered Architect in Texas.

Executive Director for Space Management
In his role as Executive Director for Space Management, Pat is responsible for the stewardship of the University's space resource, including working with the Provost, VP for Administration, VP for Finance, and FE&P Space Analysts to ensure allocation, utilization, and documentation of campus space is appropriately managed according to the standards set forth by the Office of the Provost. He holds a Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Houston and is a Registered Architect in Texas. Pat has been with Rice University since 2000.

Director of the Administrative Center for Sustainability and Energy Management
Richard started at Rice in 2004 as the university’s first campus sustainability planner and now serves as the Director of the Administrative Center for Sustainability and Energy Management. In this role, he participates in a broad range of campus sustainability initiatives, including high-performance "green" building, recycling, energy conservation and environmental education. Richard holds an appointment as a Professor in the Practice of Environmental Studies in the Sociology Department and has taught several classes at Rice. Richard is also the former President of the Board of the Houston Farmers' Market, now the Rice University Farmers Market. He received a B.S. in Civil Engineering from Rice University and a Masters in Urban and Environmental Planning from the University of Virginia.

Director for Project Management
Ana has worked at Rice since 1992 and currently oversees the Annual Capital Budget Process and all contracting. She earned her B.E.D. at Texas A&M University. She is both a Registered Architect and a Registered Interior Designer in Texas. Ana is a member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA), the AIA Houston Chapter and the Texas Society of Architects.

Director of Custodial and Grounds Services
Mr. Franco has enjoyed a career at Rice University since 1979. As director of Custodial Services and the Grounds Department, his career has been one of growth and development that he passes on to those who work with him. Mr. Franco believes in the development of his team through English-As-a-Second-Language classes, computer skills and training classes and a “Step-Up” program to train within the organization for job openings within the department and Rice organization. In addition, Mr. Franco has created several development programs unique to Rice; those include “Cleanology” and “Greenology”. Cleanology provides advanced cleaning training for the Rice custodial staff and Greenology focuses on non-impact “green”-cleaning solutions. Eusebio supports innovative programs in which custodians are self-directed with the knowledge and wisdom they received from the Cleanology program. Mr. Franco meets annually with each member of his staff, all 150 of them. Mr. Franco has been a recipient of the Elizabeth Gillis Award in 2006 and has also received the Rice University Women’s Resource Impact Award in 2005. He is a 35-year member of the International Housekeepers Association (IEHA) and sits on the IEHA board as well. He is also a member of the American Society of Training & Development (ASTD).

Director of Plant Operations and University Engineer
As a director of plant operations and university engineer, Hugh provides comprehensive stewardship for the campus infrastructure. Hugh brings over 28 years of building systems design, construction, and operations experience to the department. Hugh also provides technical support to the Administrative Center for Sustainability and Energy Management. Hugh holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Michigan. He is a Registered Professional Engineer in the State of Texas and a member of the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating & Air Conditioning Engineers – Houston Chapter.

Bart Salmon is the director of facilities and maintenance services at Facilities Engineering and Planning. He holds a Bachelor's in Business Administration from the University of Texas at Austin and a Master's in Business Administration from the University of Phoenix. Bart brings over a decade of facilities management experience to FE&P and has been with Rice since March 2016.

Director of Business Process
Loranda Williams-Iverson is the Director of Business Process, which is made up of the Facilities Service Center (FSC) and Materials Support Shop (MSS). The FSC is the communication hub of Facilities Engineering and Planning, where all work requests, work orders, and points of contact are processed. Her deep knowledge of database and computer maintenance management systems and focus on customer service began at the Johnson Space Center where she worked for nearly ten years. Loranda came to Rice in 2000 and aided in the implementation of the Financial Accounting and Management Information System (FAMIS) including the development of the FAMISWEB system the campus now uses for work orders. She manages four coordinators stationed in the FSC.

Director of Facilities Business Analytics
Terie McClintock has extensive experience with Business Analytics working in academic environments to implement data warehouse solutions including finance, clinical and research data while at Perficient, Inc., a national consulting firm, and while at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. Prior to MD Anderson, Terie also worked with accounting systems while with IBM, Continental Airlines and Baker Hughes. Terie has an MBA degree from Texas Women’s University, and a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Texas at Austin.

Executive Assistant, Human Resources Liaison
Becky has been at Rice since 2006 and serves as the Executive Administrative Assistant to Kathy Jones and David Rodd. Having had seventeen years of experience as an Operations and Office Manager, and Radiation Safety Officer, Becky now serves as the Human Resources Liaison. Becky also assists with the Buildings and Grounds Board meetings at Facilities Engineering and Planning.
