Associate Vice President for Facilities Engineering and Planning
Kathy Jones, AIA | 713-348-5460 |

Kathy graduated from the University of Texas with a Bachelors's in Architecture and joined Rice in May of 2006. She assumed leadership of FE&P in 2015. Her expertise includes both architecture and construction management. Kathy is a member of the American Institute for Architects (AIA), the AIA Houston chapter, and the Texas Society of Architects.

Executive Director for Space Management
Patrick Dwyer, RA | 713-348-6082 |

Pat earned his Bachelor of Architecture degree from the University of Houston and has been with Rice University since 2000. As the Executive Director for Space Management, Pat works with the Vice President of Administration to ensure appropriate allocation, utilization, and documentation for campus space resources. Pat is also a Registered Architect in the state of Texas.

University Architect
George Ristow, AIA | 713-348-5220|

George earned his Bachelor of Science from the University of Michigan and his Masters in Architecture from Yale University. Prior to joining Rice in 2017 as Assistant Director for Project Management, George practiced architecture for 14 years, primarily in Philadelphia. As University Architect, George oversees the planning, design, and preservation of campus buildings and grounds. He is a registered architect and a member of the American Institute of Architects.

Executive Director of the Administrative Center for Sustainability and Energy Management
Richard Johnson | 713-348-5003 |

Richard earned his B.S. in Civil Engineering from Rice University and his Masters in Urban and Environmental Planning from the University of Virginia. He joined Rice in 2004 as a Campus Sustainability Planner. Today, Richard is the Director of the Administrative Center for Sustainability and Energy Management where he focuses on on-campus sustainability initiatives such as "green" building and energy conservation.

Director for Project Management
Keith Autry, RA| 713-348-2318|

Keith earned his Bachelor of Architecture degree from Virginia Tech and his Masters in Civil Engineering and Construction Management from Pennsylvania State University. Afterward, he served in the U.S. Navy, Civil Engineering Corps for 25 years. Keith joined Rice in 2018 as the Director for Project Management where he oversees major construction projects on campus.

Anzilla Gilmore, FAIA, NOMAC | 713-348-3395 |

Anzilla earned a Bachelor of Architecture from Prairie View A&M University and a Master of Architecture from the University of Texas at Arlington. She has over 15 years of experience as an owner’s representative in higher education. In her role as assistant director, she manages the design and construction of renovation and new construction projects, with a specific focus on the campus housing and dining facilities. Anzilla also guides the department in its commitment to diversity and inclusion in hiring practices, contracting, procurement, and departmental training which supports equity across the department.

Larry Vossler | 713-348-2988 |

Larry earned his Bachelor of Science of Civil Engineering from Texas A&M University and his MBA from the Jones Graduate School at Rice University. Prior to joining Rice in 2007, Larry served four years of active duty in the U.S. Navy, Civil Engineer Corp. He has served as the project manager for Brochstein Pavilion, the John and Anne Grove, the new wings of Baker and Will Rice Colleges, the Brian Patterson Sports Performance Center, Kraft Hall for Social Sciences and the Waltrip Center.

Director of Plant Operations and University Engineer
Hugh Ton-That, PE | 832-347-3495 |

Hugh holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Michigan and has been with Rice for over 25 years. As Director of plant operations, Hugh manages the daily operations of the Central and South Plants, optimizes steam and chilled water production, and assists with solving building infrastructure problems. He is a Registered Professional Engineer in the State of Texas.

Bart Salmon earned his Bachelor's in Business Administration from the University of Texas at Austin and his Master's in Business Administration at the University of Phoenix. He has been with Rice since 2016 as the Assistant Vice President for Facilities, bringing over a decade of facility management experience. In this role, Bart directs all facilities, custodial and grounds services at FE&P.

Director of Business Process
Loranda Williams-Iverson | 713-348-4287 |

Loranda Williams-Iverson has over 30 years of experience in customer service and facilities maintenance databases. Loranda came to Rice in 2000 and aided in the implementation of the Financial Accounting and Management Information System (FAMIS) including the development of the FAMISWEB system the campus now uses for work orders. As the Director of Business Process, which is made up of the Facilities Service Center (FSC) and Materials Support Shop (MSS), she manages FSC coordinators, MSS Warehouse staff, and oversees the administration of the FAMIS system.

Terie has an MBA degree from Texas Women’s University and a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Texas at Austin. She has been with Rice for over two years as the Director of Facilities Business Analytics. Terie has extensive experience with Business Analytics working in academic environments to implement data warehouse solutions including finance, clinical, and research data. In her role, she focuses on data and software technology management.

Pamela earned her Bachelor of Science degree and an MBA with an emphasis on Management from LeTourneau University. She came to Rice in 2009, bringing with her a strong accounting background from the private sector. This background included both manufacturing cost accounting and managerial accounting for retail and service corporations. In her current role as the Director of Financial and Business Services, she focuses on directing her team and the department in sound financial and business practices.

Director of Custodial Services
Fidel Gonzales | 713-348-6371 |

Fidel joined Rice in 1988 and has been a dedicated member of the custodial services team for many years. He oversees custodial operations for the academic and public buildings on campus. He focuses on ensuring a safe and clean environment for all who visit the campus. His team knows that they are the creators of first impressions at Rice. Fidel has an Associates's Degree in Business Administration from Houston Community College.

Director of Grounds
Philip Dierker CGM | 713-348-2488 |

Philip joined the Facilities Team in 2017 after many years of experience in landscape design-build, primarily in Missouri. As Director of Grounds, he leads the campus grounds operations including the care of the Lynn R. Lowrey Arboretum collection. Philip earned a BA from the University of Illinois and an MS in Natural Resources from the University of Missouri. He is an ISA Certified Arborist and a member of the Professional Grounds Management Society.

Administrative Operations Manager, Human Resources Liaison
Becky Hebert | 713-348-6374 |

Becky earned her degree at San Jacinto College and has been at Rice for 13 years. She currently serves as the Administrative Operations Manager and Human Resources for FE&P. She manages all B2 payroll for the department in addition to assisting with the Buildings and Grounds Board meetings at Facilities Engineering and Planning.
