Over the next few months, Rice Facilities Engineering and Planning (FE&P) will be implementing a new software platform, TRIRIGA. TRIRIGA is a management software platform from IBM that includes Space Management, Capital Projects, Operations, and Maintenance modules. To view an informative presentation about TRIRIGA, click here.
Using one system that combines Space, Projects, and Maintenance will allow FE&P greater integration of data and more efficient processes. For instance, the one TRIRIGA platform will replace the current FAMIS work order system, the FAMIS “Classic” space management software, the Capital Project Projection Website, and the Capital Budget Website. Much like Oracle is a single platform for many groups on campus, TRIRIGA will do the same thing for FE&P.
The Space Management module is already operational, and the teams are working for a July 1 “Go-Live” for Maintenance and Capital Projects. These groups will be going through User Acceptance Testing and User Training over the next two months. Teams are also working on the integrations with Oracle and loading our existing data as much as possible.
