Expected impacts to the surrounding areas are as follows:
Turrell Skyspace Lighting Replacement:
The lighting replacement is scheduled to begin in July and continue through August 2024. During this replacement, the space may be closed. Notifications will be shared before the closing of the exhibit.
McNair Hall Addition:
General construction will take place but will not shut down access to the Turrell Skyspace. Specific hours of accessibility (re: crosswalk) to the Turrell Skyspace are outlined below.
- Impact Start Date: 05/28/2024
- Impact End Date: 02/20/2026
- Crosswalk to Turrell Skyspace
- Closed during Business Hours (Monday through Friday, with Saturdays as necessary)
- Opened after Hours (Monday through Sunday)
- Miscellaneous impacts, such as early morning concrete pours and steel deliveries (for the building), will be coordinated in advance.
- A temporary sidewalk will be constructed around Alice Pratt Brown with accessibility from the south end of West Quad.
