Facilities Business Analytics
Facilities Engineering and Planning’s Business Analytics team is responsible for the department’s strategic use of data by collaboratively identifying Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and enabling analytic and data visualization tools to highlight our performance toward service commitments, operational management of plant infrastructure, buildings, and grounds, and our goals to advance environmental stewardship and sustainability for the University.
Mission: To provide accurate and timely data and tools such as Tableau for monitoring Facilities Engineering and Planning key performance indicators; to explore external and perhaps unknown data sources, from peer University and/or industry sources for bench-marking FE&P Key Performance Indicators; to provide thought leadership for departmental operational reporting processes; and to identify, verify and/or implement departmental data stewardship process in support of FE&P’s goals and to support the Rice University Data Warehouse initiative.
